We wanted to get involved in the Healthy Minds campaign as we felt it was an important issue that needed addressing particularlyas it was coming up to exams.
We were keen to inform students on where they can access help and support and also what they can do themselves to try and reduce any stress or anxiety they may be feeling. This was done via tutor groups delivering our Community Ambassador presentation and an information stand we set up in student reception on Wednesday 1st May offering self help strategies and who you could contact for help or a chat if you need it. We also asked students to write down what positive message they would give, here’s a few “never give up; relax and recharge; talk to your friends; you matter, listen to music”. We’re hoping to put these on display.
